Director of Data Architecture, Pete Veenstra, has been selected to serve on data management best practices council.

(September 18, 2019) - Pivvot, a leading SaaS provider of location data and analytics solutions, is pleased to announce that its Director of Data Architecture, Pete Veenstra, has been appointed to the Standard Leadership Council as the representative of the Pipeline Open Data Standard (PODS) Association. Veenstra will join oil and gas leaders across the midstream and upstream sectors to promote the adoption of open and freely available data management standards.

Veenstra joins the council with significant data architecture and data modeling experience. He offers over 25 years of GIS and data management experience focusing on data integration and emerging technologies. He has participated in several industry committees and was appointed by the Secretary of Transportation to serve on the PHMSA Voluntary Information Sharing Working Group. Additionally, he has served as a Board Member and Technical Advisor for the Pipeline Open Data Standards organization for 15+ years.
